I'd like to quickly post an update about the new "iPhone killer" Palm Pre. First, this is not a iPhone killer nor is it being sold as one. For roughly half the price of an iPhone and a much softer contract than ATT you will be able to get a very usable smart phone with business multitasking applications.

Palm is a well known business application product and has an army of business based applications and inter connectivity with lotus notes, exchange, and generic email applications. As I said in an earlier blog iPhone is a great consumer product and this is an enterprise product.

But Pre is not without its downside. This is sa first generation phone and as with any first generation system pushed out to make carrier sales impact, Ala Verizon Storm, it is bound to have some bugs associated with it. Don't be surprised if there is a small army of Applers waiting to backlash on the first round of issues. If you can look past this I am fairly confident from the reviews I have seen and the research I have done that this phone should do very well.

If you are in the market and looking for a real attractive smart phone, don't pass up the Palm Pre.
