linkedin leads

Can Linkedin get you leads? The quick answer is yes, but it's not easy. I am a strong believer in leveraging your networks, but if you keep your network limited to friends and former colleagues unless you are a popular tweeting actor you may be capped around 150.

So the question begs where can i generate new contacts for more leads. This is where the beauty of the social networking sites like Linkedin and Twitter come into play. Linked in specifically has a groups section and you can add yourself to several groups that pertain to your expertise or product and services target market.

The key is to be genuine and honest in your interactions online as you would in direct business. Do not join multiple groups and have your first post be: "Click me to make money online" or "I can get your site listed number one on Google."

What you can do is post on topics that you are a SME(subject matter expert) and provide some real direction to the group. Your goal is to get more respected contacts that will then be readily acceptable to your services once your worth is validated.

I choose my groups and additions carefully on all my social sites, as most people do, so please do yourself the favor and save the sales pitch assault and lend some service or assistance, and the sales will follow. I grew from 5 to 65 client in this manner and hope to grow to 100 by continuing to do so, and I haven't lost one client yet because I establish a relationship first and foremost.

Have a great week!

Thanks
